Spiritual Questions

Spiritual questions go to the heart of the very nature of being. We’re all seeking to understand the same thing (that thing being Source), yet the triggers which inspire us to realize this understanding are highly personal to our life experience. Such questions most often tend to arise when we feel either vulnerable and in distress, or simply hungry for intangibles like a greater sense of purpose in life or a deeper meaning “to it All.” In our moments of extreme agitation we often cry out Why! And no matter what it is that brings you (personally) to this moment of turmoil, in experiencing this outcry we all arrive at the same place - life unrest. Unsatisfaction with life makes fertile ground for yearning to know the questions of the Spirit. For many of us it is usually only after we’ve grown weary of trying to achieve that sense of fulfillment we’ve been craving by wordly means that we, out of desperation, turn to the one place we haven’t looked to satisfy our inner longing. We turn within. And instead of chasing after some fabled panacea to satiate our yearning in the form of some material thing or another, a particular title or status, or a certain situation in life, we pursue answers to questions. And while we all tend to ask the same "cosmic" questions, these questions often mean different things to the different people asking them because we’re all seeking answers that are personal to our life experience and sensibilities, as well as relevant to our present situation. We can inspire each other in our pursuits to realize deep spiritual understanding. Yet ultimately the answers to your spiritual inquiries must come from within. It can seem daunting settling on a place to start in this quest so let’s just lay out a few common spiritual ideas and tackle them one by one. And you too should weigh in on what they mean to you.
